Beach Bungalow Living . Interior Inspiration

July 2, 2010 separator be inspired

All I can think about these days is my trip to Belize, so it’s no surprise that I’ve got beach on the mind… I’m trying to get my bedroom a little more zen, so I was browsing around for inspiration and found some rooms that were just too good to keep to myself.

I love the driftwood and sea glass mobile in the first picture and would just die for a little reading nook like the one in the second image! I definitely lean toward the muted, washed out beach tones, like sea glass and pale sand.

Which is your favorite? If you were doing a beachy interior, would you go for a whitewashed effect or a bold, nautical theme?

  1. I like them all, but I especially gravitate toward the teal and sea green and white – actually, a lot like your blog background. lol

  2. I love the beach too. I like the blue bedroom and the kitchens and everything you have shown us! I’m having a beach vacation too, in Rhode Island end of July. I can hardly wait!

  3. I love the concept in the second picture but I will throw in some green color too.

  4. I have a friend with one of those mobiles in their bathroom – Love it! Also – I love all these rooms, but the bathtub Buddha with the purpley chandelier makes my heart skip a beat.

The last oceany house I fell in love with had pale blue-greens all over with white and sea shells. Gorgeous. I like the lighter ones. definitely.

  5. The bed by the window looking out to the ocean, gorgeous! I need to be there right now 🙂

    Have a wonderful 4th weekend, 🙂 T.
