Creatives Illustrated . Studio DIY

February 25, 2014 separator be inspired

Because I have the attention span of a hamster, I’ve decided to start another little blog series. I have my blogroll and everything, but I wanted to do something to really spotlight some of my favorite creatives. I’ve been dabbling around with watercolors a little bit lately and am starting to get the hang of creating a painting rather than a muddy looking mess. That said, I decided that there’s clearly no better way to showcase my these rock stars than with a little watercolor portrait!

For the first feature in this series, I cordially introduce you to Kelly Lanza, founder and editor of Studio DIY, a bright, happy, confetti-splashed wonderland. Kelly is a party queen, and she blogs ridiculous amounts of tutorials and tweaks to help you celebrate every little moment.

  1. Your painting is fab! Such talent. I’ve always wanted to try watercolors, but I dont even know where to start.

    1. Thanks so much, Pam! I started off with a Skillshare class about painting watercolor shoes. It’s a great start to get a handle on the technique. Here’s my referral link: http://skl.sh/18SnE6U (you’ll get $10 off)
