a moment to remember those lost in the cambodian stampede

November 23, 2010

I just wanted to bring this to all our attention. Over 345 people were killed at the Cambodian Water Festival when panic caused a surge on a bridge. I’m sending thoughts and prayers their way and implore you all to do the same. Let’s never forget how truly fortunate we are for each day we get to spend with our families and friends.

I also want to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to learn more about Cambodians to bring something positive of this tragedy. We always dwell on the morbid facts, figures, and counts, but let’s instead commit this country to memory as a lovely place full of beautiful people.

  1. Such a tragic story. And such a lovely idea to dwell on the good and send thoughts and prayers. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. ~Amber
