before & after . linda’s dresser

April 5, 2011 separator Before & After

When I asked for Before & After submissions, I didn’t know what to expect, but as usual, one of you guys just blew me away! Linda of burlap+blue blew me away with her gorgeous dresser redo. While we’re on the topic of this loverly lady, your day won’t be complete without checking out the bright, happy cake stands in her shop. Read on for all the details and the “after” pictures of Linda’s Goodwill dresser, include the color of paint she used!

Get the rest of of the details, including the “after” after the jump!

Time: about a week, drying time included
Budget: $70 – paint and knobs (a splurge at $6 each)
In Linda’s Words: I found the dresser at a Goodwill one weekend… I was definitely not in the market for one, but I fell in love with the lines, the construction, and the great condition. And who doesn’t love furniture on casters? : ) I knew I wanted a light blueish gray, and I fell in love with “Misty” by Sherwin Williams. The stripes on the dresser top were inspired by an image I found on a blog (wish I could remember the source!), and the teardrop knobs are from Anthropologie. Overall, I love the look and feel of this piece, and I’ve put it to good use holding supplies in my craft room!
