Have you heard of ShopLocket yet? It’s an online marketplace, but unlike the ones you’re already familiar with, only you can sell your ‘old but not yet vintage’ goodies! I’m thinking of using it for a little ‘shop my closet’ store to get rid of the still-cute things that I just haven’t worn in ages. It’s great for handmade and vintage, too, of course!

ShopLocket is also neat because you’re not sending your blog readers to an external site to shop. You can sell right on your own blog. Don’t have a blog? You can even sell on Facebook! You still have the option to just link to the site, too.

It’s really simple: go to the website, sign up, put in a few details about whatever you’re selling (name, description, pictures, etc.), and then you can share it. The image above is an example of ShopLocket on somebody’s website.

The pricing in simple and straightforward. Instead of up-front or monthly fees, you only pay when you sell. When you sell a product, you’re charged 2.5% plus any payment processing fees from PayPal or Stripe. Example: If you’re selling a dress for $20, you’d keep $18.62 after fees.

  78. I was thinking of selling a bunch of stuff to Platos but maybe this will be a better choice. I used to sell on eBay but it gets overwhelming.

  87. Oh wow! This is such a great idea. I’ve been looking for tools that allow you to sell things directly from Facebook instead of directing people to another website. Hurrah! I think I would try selling some of my downloadable tutorials first.
