try shoplocket free to win $100

Have you heard of ShopLocket yet? It’s an online marketplace, but unlike the ones you’re already familiar with, only you can sell your ‘old but not yet vintage’ goodies! I’m thinking of using it for a little ‘shop my closet’ store to get rid of the still-cute things that I just haven’t worn in ages. It’s great for handmade and vintage, too, of course!

ShopLocket is also neat because you’re not sending your blog readers to an external site to shop. You can sell right on your own blog. Don’t have a blog? You can even sell on Facebook! Instead of drowning in the masses on a big online marketplace, you can sell to the audience you already have without sending them somewhere else and just hoping they only look at your shop. You still have the option to just link to the site, too.

It’s really simple: go to the website, sign up, put in a few details about whatever you’re selling (name, description, pictures, etc.), and then you can share it. The image above is an example of ShopLocket on somebody’s website.

The pricing in simple and straightforward. Instead of up-front or monthly fees, you only pay when you sell. When you sell a product, you’re charged 2.5% plus any payment processing fees from PayPal or Stripe. Example: If you’re selling a dress for $20, you’d keep $18.62 after fees.

If you want to give it a try, it’s super easy to sign up, and since there aren’t any up-front fees, there’s really no reason not to try it out! Because it’s so user-friendly, you can be selling your wares within a few minutes. To sign up, just go to ShopLocket.com and you can be selling almost instantly!

As an added bonus, ShopLocket is going to be randomly giving out FIVE $100 gift certificates to Michaels to people that sign up in the next two weeks!

  1. I definitely have plenty of handmade baby blankets that wouldn’t hurt to be sold.

  2. I would try to sell my cute little lunchbox notes, love notes, gift tags, and scrapbook templates

  3. What wouldn’t I sell? I have a huge pile of stuff just sitting around that I need to get rid of 🙂

  4. I was thinking of selling a bunch of stuff to Platos but maybe this will be a better choice. I used to sell on eBay but it gets overwhelming.

  5. I have lots of older shoes & jewelry…would be a good way to make a little money on things I don’t use anymore instead of just throwing them out.

    What a good idea!

  6. Great find Lindsay. Thanks for sharing – we too have visions of turning an “I don’t have anything to wear” closet into one full of great new finds!

  7. Oh wow! This is such a great idea. I’ve been looking for tools that allow you to sell things directly from Facebook instead of directing people to another website. Hurrah! I think I would try selling some of my downloadable tutorials first.

  8. I love the idea of being able to sell on my blog – even though my reach, for now, is pretty small. And on FB too? Wow!
I’d probably start off by selling some craft supplies – both handmade and other. And the new collage sheets that I’ve created.
