Good Eats – Crescent Wrapped Brie & a Giveaway!

January 18, 2010 separator Appetizers & Sides

Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Serves: 12

  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 1 8 ounce Brie round
  • 1 egg, beaten

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Unroll dough; separate crosswise into 2 sections. Pat dough and firmly press perforations to seal, forming 2 squares. If using dough sheet: Unroll dough; cut crosswise into 2 rectangles. Pat dough to form 2 squares.
  • Place 1 square on ungreased cookie sheet. Place cheese on center of dough. With small cookie or canapé cutter, cut 1 shape from each corner of remaining square; set cutouts aside.
  • Place remaining square on top of cheese round. Press dough evenly around cheese; fold bottom edges over top edges. Gently stretch dough evenly around cheese; press to seal completely. Brush with beaten egg. Top with cutouts; brush with additional beaten egg.
  • Bake 20 to 24 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 15 minutes. Serve warm.

As a fun variation, I love this topped with a bit of cranberry sauce. It’s a nice mix of sweet and savory, and the cool cranberry over the warm brie is to die for!

  1. What a great blog! I’m very glad that I stumbled upon you!

I love Pillsbury and it is hard to choose just one but I think that the Chicken Crescent Pot Stickers look really great! Easy yet look a bit more complicated and certainly yummy looking too!

  2. Cute giveaway 😉 I have to say that the shrimp crescent bites look DELISH. Speaking of which, my Mom was obsessed with making things out of crescent dough and also ready-made biscuit dough. One of her recipes was for fried donuts made of the biscuit dough dropped into high heat oil… You can imagine how fatty but good those things were. We made donut holes, too. 🙂

  3. Ok, the Valentin Cookie Pops are DEFINITELY on my to do list this year. So so presh and easy to make.

-I went and visted Revolving Styles and am so glad you told us too! The vintage clothes are so cute and cheap. I personally like the vintage 60s black dress for $24!

-And I’m an official My Yahoo follower 🙂

    Bring on the winning… 🙂
