10 Unique Shelving Styles . Interior Inspiration

April 19, 2010 separator be inspired

I’m in a very interior-design place right now and have the decorating bug in a big way. As you’ve all probably heard me whine about, my apartment is S-M-A-L-L. One way that I try to get around my space limitations is through wall shelving. My apartment’s under 400 ft², so I take full advantage of all my vertical space.

Some browsing around led me to some great, quirky, innovative shelving ideas. Which is your favorite? Do you have any ideas for an innovative shelf unit?

  1. I love creative bookshelves… My husband collects books, so we’re always on the lookout for fun shelving ♥

  2. I just love the tree inspired one- it would make such a statement in a room. Great finds!

  3. Wow! This stuff is so cool. I really enjoyed looking at all these odd ideas. 🙂

  4. nice compilation but i have to say that most would not hold what i need them to hold…but i like to look at them

  5. Have you ever checked out Ready Made magazine. About 6 months ago, they did an entire issue on design ideas for small spaces. Should be helpful!

  6. I have a tiny tiny apartment too and I ended up just putting a couple shelves up instead of a sidetable .. but none of them were this cute!!

  7. Huh…the things people come up with. I have to say that I think the rubber band looking one is probably the most originally innovative to me. It’s really something I’ve never seen anything like before.

    Great compilation.

  8. Wow, those are AMAZING! I can’t decide between the ECG shelf and the tree, but they’re all so unique and eyecatching!

  9. I love them all! So creative. I think my favorite is the tree inspired one by Maria Yasko. So fun! Thanks for sharing 🙂
