my oh-holy-crap-it’s-finals-week face
I have been sorely neglecting leShrimp, and I would like to apologize for that. Unfortunately, it’s just gonna’ keep on being neglecting this week. I am on the cusp of being a second-year Master’s candidate, but unfortunately we’re really running the gauntlet this week with finals and papers!
I will try to stop by every now and then, but honestly right now, I’m hopelessly devoted to Public Policy Economics and Public Funds Management, my friends. I started studying at ten this morning, and I’m still going strong nearing midnight now. Don’t worry though – you’re cooler. I promise.

On a happier note, though: Thank you so much to everybody who was thinking happy thoughts and keeping their fingers crossed for me. I got a summer internship finally, and it’s just absolutely, perfectly me!!! I’m going to be the Assistant Director of a Summer Tutoring Program, and I feel like I’ll actually be making a difference in this position. I get to work at a nonprofit that helps kids – what could be better? Plus, the staff where I’ll be working seem like some of the coolest people in town, and you can’t beat that, right?!
Thank you all for being so supportive, and I’m really sorry for my absences of late!!!

  3. I think a little blog neglect is in order so you don’t have a stress overload 🙂 Congrats on your internship and good luck on your finals!!

  5. I have a PhD followed by a very long (& somewhat dull) career in international development, dealing with stuff like public funds, public policy economics, project management, etc. During all those years, I took my love of vintage on the road & collected old folk costumes & textiles from all over the world. Now I’m realizing my American vintage dream. Do what you’ve gotta do, but don’t forget about what you’re great at…that is this wonderful Shrimp! You’re so talented, have awesome content & I personally just love your blog! Make sure to weave your talents & true loves into what you eventually do in “the real world.” Good luck with your studies, but don’t take any of it too seriously!

  6. Congrats girl! We all neglect our blogs a little every now and again. Do what you gotta do!

  7. And no – I’m not nude. There’s a dress under all that hair.
