Monster Valentine Rice Krispie Treat Ingredients

If you can unwrap a Rice Krispies Treat, you can make this Valentine’s Day recipe!

  • Individually-wrapped Rice Krispies Treats
  • Wilton Candy Melts in two shades of pink
  • Candy eyes in two sizes
  • Lollipop sticks in Valentine’s Day colors

Assembling Chocolate Dipped Valentine Rice Krispie Treats

Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (or wax paper).

Open eight Rice Krispies Treats, and poke a lollipop stick about an inch into the short side of each one.

Arrange the treats on the baking sheet, and chill them for about half an hour in the fridge. This will help the chocolate harden on them more quickly.

Assembling Cute Monster Valentine Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

Add 3/4 cup of candy melts to two separate microwave-safe bowls.

Heat them one at a time in the microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring between intervals, until they’re evenly melted. Let them cool for a minute or so until the chocolate isn’t super runny.

Dip the Rice Krispies Treats halfway into the melted chocolate, and let the excess drip back into the bowl.

Immediately after dipping, place each treat on the baking sheet, and add candy eyes. Be sure to mix and match the eyes for different cute little monster variations!

Repeat with each one, and let them harden in the fridge or at room temperature.
