I recently had the opportunity to try a Hana Professional Flat Iron 1″ in the Pink Edition from Misikko, which I’m sure you’ve seen around. Misikko has been sweeping the blogging world lately, so I was definitely excited to have the opportunity to share the goods with you guys! Misikko has a wide range of salon-quality products, including professional hair dryers and flat irons, including the ever-coveted  CHI, as well as a full line of curling irons and shine serums. The site is really well-organized and easy to navigate, and you can find all the straightening goodies in their best flat irons section. 

Now – onto the review! My hair is definitely not terribly unwieldy. It is rather thin and straight, so I have never really had to use a flat iron before. However, the Hana still worked wonders for me. A few quick passes with this straightener gave me shiny, sleek, fresh-from-the-salon locks that I could never manage otherwise. The shine serum that was included with the iron made my hair look impossibly shiny (though I’ll admit that the scent was a bit off-putting). The ceramic plates are very smooth and don’t snag or catch at all, like some of my friends’ straighteners that I have tried. Also – and this is a biggie for me – the cord swivels, so it never ends up getting ridiculously tangled. The iron has an on/off switch, which is really convenient, and the heat adjusts all the way up to 450°, perfect for all hair types and textures. The edges do get a bit hot, so be careful when using it that you don’t touch too close to the plates.


Customer service? Misikko has this one down to a science. My flat iron came in a little tin with a travel pouch, a velvety case, a silicone mat to set it on, a generous bottle of heat-protecting shine serum, and even some extra goodies, like nail files and hand sani in cute little organza bags. To top it all off, everything was tide up with a big ribbon bow and had a cute little white rose in the box. This was definitely a fun package to unwrap!
