Sweet Root Village Color Inspiration

I mega-♥ the ladies of Sweet Root Village. Lauren and Rachel are incredibly talented creatives (they rock at floral design, event coordination, and photography), but more importantly, they’re genuinely kind, funny, and so wonderfully easygoing. You might’ve seen my sneak peek on Instagram, but I recently worked with them on this photo shoot for my shop. They styled the most beautiful images that I can’t wait to start sharing in the shop!

I also love the wonderful little community they’ve created. They are based out of a beautiful old building in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, that they’ve divided up and turned into The Studios at 112 S. Patrick, a workspace that’s constantly buzzing with creativity, collaboration, and happy colorful moments. I’m working with them on some lettering and other goodies for their upcoming THRIVE workshop, so expect to see pictures soon!

Sweet Root Village’s Vibrant Florals

I had trouble deciding which of SRV’s knockout-gorgeous creations to feature, but I ultimately kept coming back to this one. The colors are just too fantastic. I feel like they’re so vibrant that they almost glow, and the inclusion of those mossy rocks make this feel more like a sculptural art piece than a fleeting combination of flowers and greenery. This floral arrangement — photographed by them, of course — is from a wine dinner they styled at Lorien Hotel & Spa in Alexandria, Virginia.
