I leave tomorrow morning for my last spring break ever! I get to spend it with my best friend in the world in Austin, Texas. It also happens to be SXSW and some of the most beautiful weather I could have hoped for. I’ll be there from Saturday through next Friday and have never been before. Below is a brief (but oh-so-exciting) itinerary for my week, but be sure to let me know what else I can’t miss while I’m in ATX!!!
BurdaStyle is hosting the first annual DIY Fashion Show Sunday night, and I’m going to be there!!! Fifteen up-and-coming indie fashion designers were selected to show off their work. It’s also the wrap party for The Texas Style Council Conference, and Indiana Adams of Adored Austin will be hosting the shindig.
Of course I’ll be hitting up a bunch of the South by Southwest concert events, possibly to include HANSON and Marcy Playground. “Mmmbop,” anybody?! If you know of any good bands that I might not have heard of playing the festival, please do let me know in the comments!
I’m pretty excited about this one! Etsy and BurdaStyle are getting together for a Crafternoon on Saturday and Sunday. We’ll get to make various sewing and crafty projects, and I couldn’t be more pumped!!!
Ohh, jealous! I’ve been to Austin a few times and love it, but have always wanted to go to SXSW! Hoping to maybe make it out there again this fall for the holiday Renegade Craft Fair. Have fun! (And try to go watch the bats if you have a chance, it’s really cool!)
congratulations! you have been awarded the Stylish blogger award.

Sounds like so much fun!! What a great last spring break. So jealous you will be enjoying some warm sunshine 🙂
I am a little jealous & pissed- that I am not going & didn’t get an invite! LOL Have fun & be sure to take lots of ppictures so as usual I can live vicariously through you! Drink one of those fab margaritas for me & oh yeah, eat a cupcake for me too!
Since you’re going to be getting all crafty stop by Stitch Lab on South 1st Street, and then mosey a little farther south on 1st and turn into Sugar Mama’s for THE BEST cupcakes you will ever eat. Visit the food trailer mecca in East Austin, take a dip in Barton Springs, and run a lap around Town Lake. But most important – drink lots of margaritas. Austin has the best you’ll find anywhere. 🙂
