Sometimes I like to pretend my life is a really exciting reality show. Or a game show, maybe. Not the kind where everybody talks about everybody else the second they leave the room. The kind where I’m doing wildly creative things on crazy deadlines and impressing the heck out of everyone as I do it.

But mostly I just work a bit on Shrimp Salad Circus in the morning; head to my 9-5 job; work through the evening; eat lots of food; and watch tv with Andrei and the cats. So when BEHR® invited me to participate in the #BEHRBox challenge, I got excited…

No, it’s not actually a game show, but I can pretend, right?

  1. My last comment cut off while I was still writing. I would make a mini book case for my cookbooks for my kitchen by painting the two crates using the brushes (making designs with the sea sponges) and use stirrers to ensure the pain t is mixed properly. I would glue the crates together and place them on the shelf near my microwave for easy access for my books while cooking. #BEHRBox

  3. I would totally paint the crates with a dark interior and light exterior and use them for holiday decor or to hold Christmas treats for friends and family. I would also love to make some type of mosaic with all the paint swatches! #BEHRbox

  4. With supplies from the #BEHRBox i would make a Christmas display with flowers etc in the crates after i painted them

  5. I would paint the boxes in holiday colors and fill them with all the children’s Christmas books I have. The books would be out for my grandchildren to look through. #BEHRBox

  6. I’d make a box to store my cat’s treats and toys in. I’d still have to keep it in the closet or cupboard, but at least they’d be organized and in one spot!

  7. I would make a storage box for my grandmother to put some of her most-used things in since she has trouble keeping up with her stuff. #BEHRBox

  8. I would make keepsake boxes for my two grands. Then they could keep their memories in a box to take out and relive as they grow up

  9. I would use the #BEHRBox to create box to help ne organize some of my painting supplies that go with my canvases.

  10. So many ideas… from a shadow box for my living room to a catch tray or box for all my papers and clutter I would keep it in my office area.

  11. I love making my kids homemade gifts for Christmas and I want to make my son a toy box and my daughter a jewelry box. #BEHRbox

  12. I need to make a box for my front porch for packages when it’s raining and I’m not home but I want something that looks nice so that is what I would make with the supplies.

  13. I’d make special Christmas crates to hold holiday books and treats – maybe label “S. Claus” to hold the holiday books and “Mrs. Claus” to hold sweet or savory treats! #BEHRBox

  14. #BEHRBox Forgot the hashtag. Sorry for the double comment. I would make it a fun project with the kids so they could personalize the crates and use them for wall hanging storage in their rooms.

  15. I would have the kids participate and turn the crates into wall hanging storage for their trinkets. Definitely have fun with the paint swatches and the cool sponge.

  16. #BEHRBox I would make a dog banana storage blx to keep my pups stuff organized! (I’ve made too many and can’t keep track of them all!)

  17. I would love to be able to make a small book shelf for my 3 year old daughter. She loves to read and has tons of books. #BEHRBox

  18. Oh I would love to make Christmas book boxes for the kids with the #BEHRBox! Our Elf…brings a box of 24 books on December 1st and puts them under the tree with instructions to open one book for their bedtime story each day until Christmas. These would be so perfect to make cute boxes to put their books in!

  19. Does it have to be holiday related? This is one of those times I wish I was bit more creative. I would attempt a holiday colored box to hold our special keepsake ornaments or maybe a house for our Elf on the shelf. #BehrBox

  20. I would use the #BEHRBox to create a small luggage stand with storage below for shoes for our guest bedroom and the jewel tones would be a great contrast to the neutral room. What a fun project.

  21. #BEHRBox I WOULD MAKE CAT BEDS/PERCHES ! I WOULD PAINT THE BOXES AND FASTEN THEM TO THE WALL IN A STAIRCASE PATTERN SO MY CATS COULD CLIMB AND SLEEP IN THEM!

  22. I would paint these all over in one color and then stipple a contrasting color on top of that with the sponge. I would then use these to store toiletries, reading material and other goodies in and place them in my guest bedroom for my family when they visit for the holidays so they feel welcome. #BEHRBox

  23. I would use the #BEHRBox to make”pick me up” crates for my kids. It’s something that needs to be done so that I’m not always dragging all their things to their rooms.

  24. I would use my #BEHRBox supplies to make a really fun display for my plushies for my craft fairs! And play around with some fun painting techniques while I’m at it! :D

  25. I would attach the crates to each other, sand them smooth, use the paints to make a colorful book shelf for my teen daughter!

  26. I would make a beautiful picture display for my granddaughter to put all her mom’s pictures and things that belong remind her of her mom.

  27. #BEHRBox I would give it to my crafty friend so she can use it for the show she has coming up. Im sure she can make something wonderful from it

  28. I would love to make my daughter a fairy house for our garden with the #BEHRBox! She has always wanted one and this would be perfect for it!

  29. I would screw the two crates together and paint them two different colors lets say red on one side and pink on the other and I would trim them in the opposite boxes color then I would use that for my mail. One side would be for junk mail and the other for important things like bills and it would be super cute! #BEHRBox

  30. I am looking at the ugliest color on a dresser ever. I bought it at a garage sale and would love to use thise supplies to make the dresser beautiful.

  31. #BEHRBOX I would give it to my daughter so she could make something neat for her bbedroo. She enjoys doing things like that.

  32. What a cute idea, I had no idea this existed!! I would probably use those awesome paint samples to paint a cute little bookshelf I picked up the other week. I’d use those crates to store misc stuff on the shelves too! (Painted up, of course!) Whoops, sorry about the double comment. Forgot to include #BEHRBox

  34. Oops! I forgot #BEHRBox! Here it is again. I would make a crate that hides all the cables in the living room under the TV area. It would be nice to pick out a pretty color and have a nice object in that area instead of all the ugly cables!

  36. I would use the products to make boxes for my grandkids, and I would use my grandkids to personalize thiese with the paints and supplies. #BEHRBox

  37. One of my bathrooms is really small so I would make storage containers to store towels and washcloths. I would paint the storage boxes Dark Blue and White to go with the colors of my bathroom. #BEHRBox

  38. I would paint the crates (in coordinating but not matching patterns) and use them as planters for my fall annuals. I’d love my own #BEHRbox!

  39. I would make a shelf for my bathroom. I like that you think of being on a show, making cool stuff, under a deadline. I often pretend like that too!

  40. Our entire house is the color of vanilla pudding. I would love to have some color on my walls to give my house a little pop. #BEHRBox I would accent the walls in my bedroom tray ceiling first.

  41. What an awesome project. I think I would make cute storage bins for blankets that would be placed on my fireplace.. this could also work as bins for wood during the winter months since I do use my fireplace! #BEHRBox is awesome!

  42. If I won the #BEHRBox i would paint and decorate with the 3 colors to make floating wall shelves. We need extra space in this tiny room. #BEHRBox

  43. I’m expecting my 1st child, so I think I’d paint the crates as little boxes for baby toys in the nursery. :) Cool giveaway! :) #BEHRBox

  44. It seems I’m always burst at the seams with throw blankets, so I’d paint and use the box for pretty blanket storage! #BEHRBox

  45. I would make a cute, wall decor piece for my living room using the #BEHRBox ! Using the paint and other supplies, I’d create something abstract

  46. With them stacked one on top of the other, I think the crates would make a nice night stand. One facing in and one facing out. It would be a lot of fun painting them all up. #BEHRBox

  47. About a dozen ideas just ran through my mind! I would use the #BEHRBox to make add storage to my craft space—maybe a small wall unit to accommodate several small baskets/bins.

  48. I would make some wine storage with the crates. I’d get 6 extra square pieces of wood (3 for each box) to create dividers in the boxes. It’s hard to explain, but 2/3s would be for wine storage with 2 boards in an X shape, and 1/3 would be sectioned if to slide the clip board boxes in like little drawers for wine accessories. The proportions might be a little different depending on the size of the crates.

  49. I would make a photo display box for my guest room, with photos in it of the guests I had staying over for the holidays. This would help them to feel welcome!

  50. This is such a fun idea! I have lots of little projects I’ve been meaning to do, so this is a perfect push to get on it!

  51. I would use my #BehrBox to make a cool side table for my screened porch room! This would be such a fun project to do with the kids and I’m sure with Beth it will turn out beautiful!

  52. I would save the crates until spring and use them to make hanging planters. The brushes, tape, and gift card would be used during our upcoming kitchen remodel. The sanding block and paint would be used to make over a recently thrifted side table. I don’t use craft sponges, but I have a friend who does! I would gift those to her. Thank you so much for the giveaway. :) #BEHRbox

  53. I would make them into deck storage boxes. Of course, I’d have to weatherize them too, but heck, it would be so nice to have some extra storage outside for a multitude of stuff we keep out in summer…

  54. I would use the #behrbox to make a side table to go on my deck. I would sponge paint it and then sand it to distress. SO fun!

  55. #BEHRBox id put an ocean theme picture for background put some sea shells in there and it would look awesome a little sailboat also with a light in it

  56. I would turn the crates into floating wall shelves to hold little knickknacks (picture frames, travel souvenirs, etc.). I can’t wait to see what you do with those amazing colors!! #BEHRBox
