Two hands toasting with a set of this might be wine mugs

I used to hand-paint this design on mugs in my Etsy shop, but my shop has been shuttered for years.

This month for the At Home DIY Challenge we’re updating something from the thrift store.

I realized it was the perfect occasion to share a template for my version of the popular “this might be wine” mug!

1. Clean your mugs thoroughly. Use rubbing alcohol to remove any oils or residues that will prevent the design from sticking.

2. Cut the design out with a Cricut or Silhouette. Weed the design, removing any spaces from the letters.

  1. Okay I know this is about the mugs, but lemme just say I had no idea you could transfer vinyl with PAINTERS TAPE! You just changed my friggin life

    1. It’s seriously a game-changer for sure! I find the transfer material to be way too sticky sometimes!
